Super Circuit ‘09 Show Rules
 

1. Absolutely NO gate entries.  AQHA rule #433: To compete in an AQHA approved class, a horse must be entered in the class with show management prior to the start of the class.  The exhibitor is responsible for errors on entry blanks.  A horse entered in the wrong class may be transferred to its correct class after the judging program has been printed.

2.
When filling out the entry form, if you enter a number in the back number blank, you must supply your own numbers.  Show management will have a limited choice of numbers.  If the same numbers have been chosen by more than one exhibitor, number will go to first entry received.  A copy of your horses registration papers, owners current AQHA membership card and exhibitors AQHA membership card must accompany entry forms.  AQHA #403 & #404.  Every person competing in an AQHA approved class must have either a current individual AQHA or AQHYA membership, recorded solely in their name as specified in rule #102, or purchase one at the show which will be submitted with the show roster.  Show management must inspect membership card, or a photocopy of it, at any show the exhibitor has entered.  If the exhibitor is a member but cannot produce their membership card, they must fill out a replacement form, purchase a new membership and pay the required fee before entering the show.  This fee in non-refundable AQHA # 402.  This is the responsibility of the EXHIBITOR.

3. Show management reserves the right to CANCEL any class, futurity or stake at any time for any reason.  Entries will be refunded.

4. Yearling In-Hand Trail Stake:

                A. open to any registered horses foaled in 2008. One horse per handler.  Handler must be in AQHA approved attire.

                B. horse to be shown in an AQHA approved halter with lead shank.

                C. horses will be asked to perform a trail pattern which will be posted 1 hour before the class consisting of any obstacles listed in the AQHA Handbook EXECPT lope overs. 

                D. If at anytime the horse gets away from handler or handler drops lead shank, also if the horse is lame and excused by the judges, it will be an automatic disqualification.  Entry fees will NOT be refunded.

5. Yearling Lunge Line Futurity:

                A. open to any registered horses foaled in 2008. One horse per handler.  Handler must be in AQHA approved attire.

                B. horses will be judged 20% on conformation, as per AQHA rule #448

                C. horses to be shown in an AQHA approved halter with lead shank.  During the lunging portion, no chains will be allowed on the halter.  Exhibitors will be given 90 seconds to show the horse at the walk, jog and lope BOTH directions.  A signal will be given at the start, middle and end of the go.  A lunge whip may be used, however no part of it shall touch the horse while out on the lunge line.  Use of splint boots acceptable

6.  If you choose to bring a dog to the show, it must be on a leash at all times.  Show management reserves the right to have a dog removed if it is posing a threat to anyone or disruption of the show.

7.  If at any time, any person chooses to engage in personal attacks or threats, verbal or physical abusive acts with ANY member of the show committee, exhibitors, owners or otherwise, the person will be asked to leave the show grounds immediately, and show management reserves the right to call in 3rd parties at any time if necessary.  Likewise, any horse found to be a threat to personal safety will be asked to leave the show grounds.  Entry fees will not be refunded.


8. Working Cow Horse Stake and Reining Stake will be run according to AQHA rules.

9.  It is the responsibility of the owners and exhibitors to know and understand the AQHA rules as stated in the AQHA 2009 official handbook.  A copy is available at www.aqha.com.  Fines and disciplinary action will be given accordingly by AQHA.  Show management reserves the right to refuse entries of persons not complying with AQHA rules, and when correct documents are not given.

10.  All Futurity and Stake classes will be tabulated using the AQHA Point System.

11. High Point All Around Awards:  In order for an exhibitor to qualify for All Around Jr. and Sr. Horse, exhibitor must: 1. Fill out form at the office  2. Compete in at least 5 out of the 6 eligible classes.  Those classes are Halter, Western Pleasure, Trail, Reining, Western Riding & Hunter Under Saddle.  Anyone failing to do either WILL NOT be eligible for a Hi-Point Jr. or Sr. Horse award.  In order to qualify for Amateur & Youth Hi-Point All Around Awards, exhibitors must:  1. Fill out form at office   2. Compete in at least 7 out of the 9 eligible classes.  They are as follows Halter, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Western Riding, Trail, Reining, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation. Lowest scores will be dropped.  In order to win a Novice Amateur or Novice Youth All Around Award, exhibitors must compete in Novice classes with Novice classes ONLY being counted towards the All Around.

12. AQHA Green Classes:  AQHA only offers Green Classes for the following:  Trail, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle and Western Riding.    AQHA Green Eligibility:  Horses in their first year of showing in AQHA approved shows or horses that have shown during previous years but have not earned more than 10 points in that class.  See 2009 AQHA rule book pages 179, 191, 214 & 216-217 for further information.  Rules will be available at the show office.

13. AQHA Amateur and All Ages Cutting: see rule #472 for AQHA rules, classes will be run under NCHA rules.  See www.nchacutting.com for further rules.

PLEASE NOTE:  All futurity payouts will be mailed out at the conclusion of the show and not paid out after the show as has been done in years past.  NO refunds on futurity entries with out a vet certificate.  Thank You.

 

Camping

 

Camping is very limited and will be first come, first serve.  We’re sorry, but there are NO PLUGINS AVAILABLE at this time, so please bring a generator if you need power.

 

Release of Loss or Damage Statement

 

You will find the Release of Loss or Damage Statement at the bottom of the entry form.  It is mandatory that all competitors or parents of minor aged competitors sign this statement prior to competing in this show.

 

Stabling

 

Two stabling forms are available.  If you need a stall for ONLY the days of the show (August 27 – 30), then fill out Stabling Form 1 and make your cheque payable to SUPER CIRCUIT.

 

However If you are going to be an early arrival or late departure, then you will also need to fill out Stabling Form 2 and enclose a separate cheque for those days made payable to PG HORSE SOCIETY.

 

A stall deposit of $25.00 per stall is required.  Please enclose a separate cheque, payable to PG HORSE SOCIETY.   This cheque will be returned to you once the show is over and your stall is left clean.
